Resident-Evil-Revelations-fi

Resident Evil: Revelation succeeds where other RE titles have disappointed. The game seems to take a hybrid form from the traditional survival horror and the newer action-paced Resident Evil games. It will make you jump within it’s ghostship atmosphere, but as you progress through the main story you’ll find it losing that feel or who knows maybe your just becoming braver.

Silent Hill is one of those games that will stick with you for years. It is a game series that I really consider an experience. I’d like to share that experience with you! I’m going to give 1 lucky blog follower a copy of Silent Hill HD Collection (system of their choice) via Amazon.com! To enter you simply need to subscribe to the site via email, and make sure it’s an email you frequently check as that’s how I’ll get in contact with the winner. I’d like to pick the winner by the first of the month (just a few days after my birthday :D ) !

The subscribe box is just a little over to your right! I know you can find it :)

If you want even more chances to win I’m doing the same type of contest over on tumblr, simply reblog and follow me there. (so, I’m giving away 2 copies in total)

Anyways good luck everyone! May the odds be ever in your favor.

gamer

Getting to know the Gamer is a interview series where I ask you guys, the gamers, a bunch of questions pertaining to the industry. (Unless we’re lead astray) These interviews are a stepping stone for me as I move into a future as a game designer, who will always value opinions of my fellow gamers. If you wish to take part in the process I ask you email Brianna@opprincess.com with a little backstory on your gaming history.

lego-universe

Lego’s Universe was an MMO released back in October 2010. It was aimed at a young audience, but some still had enough of an inner child left in them to give it a shot. Late last year whenever seem incised by the ‘Free-to-Play’ business model, Lego’s Universe gave it a go. Now, their F2P model became more of an unlimited free trial. Sadly enough, that didn’t quite bring in the numbers they were looking for. Continue reading »

sushithunder

Sushi boy thunder is one of those fun on-the-go games that lack a real story, but if you did create a story for it would most likely be about a boy who ate too much sushi, got too fat, and decided to become bulimic. Continue reading »

together

After pre-ordering the game right after Comic Con last summer, I’m happy to say I’ve finally had a few days to sit down with this title. I avoided the beta testing since I don’t really like playing a character only to have them deleted in a few weeks. It’s hard for me to get through games as it is, so if I have to replay things that I may not have enjoy the first time it’s just a lot worse.

Level 1 through 10 probably took me about 2 days of decent gaming. Keep in mind I’m a ‘slow’ MMO player, meaning I like looking around/exploring a bit. Found a few neat things by doing that too. I also didn’t skip a lot of quests or movie sequences. I don’t doubt that I skipped a couple quests, but it seemed like I did the majority of them on Tython. So, guesstimating the average player is like me to a certain degree it would take about a little less than two days. Continue reading »

skyrule

As we head inch closer to the end of the year the question of GOTY (Game of the Year) is on every gamers’ mind. I’d feel a bit overwhelmed to just sit down and pick 1 game! Can you image the pressure on anyone who has to do that? We’ve seen so many titles this year, Portal 2, Skyrim, Skyward Sword, Assassin’s Creed, and a sonic game that didn’t get smashed by reviewers right away. I have a feeling if now you were to ask the gaming community what they think GOTY is most would turn towards either Skyrim or Skyward Sword, both games are currently at over 95 on Metacritic. kyle

I’d like to say it’s nice sharing interests with someone you love. That gaming is the perfect way to strengthen your bond with another. While it is convenient in the first year of your relationship, it will quickly grow tiresome and old. You may realize that you have completely opposite taste in games, or worse maybe he’s a console halo fanatic, lord help us then. Continue reading »
